Quite honestly, I don't have a whole lot to say about this picture. It was a fun little piece to do on the side as I'm working on my other screenplays/books. But I have been wanting to draw a Little Strongheart x Braeburn image for a while now. There's not as much fan art of them as I imagined, but then again they did appear in Season 1 and, apart from another cameo for Braeburn, we never saw them again. I'm a little surprised that a buffalo didn't show up at the finale while all the other creatures were fighting for Equestria, but whatever. I guess the show's writers forgot about them or something. 

Anyway, I'm a HUGE fan of the girl being taller than the guy in a romance (given that I'm a 6'2'' woman who towers above every freaking guy I come across). So when Yona and Sandbar (technically) became an item, I ate it all up! Then I thought about another fan couple where the girl would, eventually, outgrow the guy and decided to have the two couples meet. Perhaps Yona and Sandbar were hesitant about taking their relationship further so Applejack introduced them to her cousin who was married to a buffalo. 

And yeah, I drew Braeburn with a beard for fun and also to show that he's embracing his wild side for Little Strongheart. Just a cute little pic for you all to either enjoy or simmer in anger over since you don't ship them... ah, well. To each their own. (insert shrug emoticon here)
