Today we’ve got quite an interesting family here, including three alicorns as of yet, and a baby dragon!

When looking at the parents, it’s very clear of whom Twilight inherited her adventurous streak, and who gave her her organizatory abilities. “Once Upon A Zeppelin” really shed some light on it, and it would be wonderful to see Twilight Velvet and Night Light in another episode again sometimes.Before anypony speaks up, I just want to clarify: Yes, Silverlay is there, although she’s not in the show. So what? She has earned a special place in my heart, and to me it never even occurred to leave her out of this, planned on having her here from the get-go. She is part of this family. And so is Spike. He is as much of a little brother to Twilight as Shining Armor is an older brother for her.  

Not much fancy drawing here, it’s another staged family portrait once again. A lot of work actually went into both of the parents, and Cadance. Phew, Cadance. Not that many good vector images of her around, I drew her completely from scratch… first time I drew a pony of her body shape myself, didn’t work out that well at first. And I wanted to show her (and Twi as well, of course) without any regalia, after all it’s a family photo and not a diplomatic encounter.
