The daughter of Verda Iolani (a female griffon) and Discreet Expedience
(a unicorn stallion), Vivian had a privileged, if lonely, childhood. Her
parents are both diplomats in the Griffon Kingdoms, and she was sent to
Canterlot for medical care and schooling, only seeing her parents a few
times a year. Inheriting her mother’s special eyes, she’s able to see
magical fields, which sparked her interest in the supernatural. Since
leaving Canterlot, the kind bird has sought out the paranormal, strange,
and misunderstood, writing stories and articles that often get
disregarded as fiction, or even worse, end up getting published in the
tabloids.
