Description:
Emerald asks how the two are doing, and makes sure to point out that Joyride should eat more, and that Ruby should perhaps slow down a bit.
“I’ll be fine, lil’ perv.” Joyride says rolling her eyes, picking up her fork, and taking a bite of pancake.
Ruby stops eating for a second to say, “Where’d you go last night? I was waiting up for you! Joyride and I made that pinetar stuff you need for your potions!”
Ruby looks excited about this, and Emerald catches some of it as well. He wants to make those potions as soon as possible, but Joyride shrugs and says, “We got a whole day of walking ahead of us. You can do it tonight. It’s actually going to take us one more day to get to the hives. Nishan says we need to take it slow for a bit. Seems to think we are being followed.”
Emerald worriedly asks if she thinks they are being followed.
“Not that I can tell. There are a lot of weird creatures in these jungles. Maybe she is just getting paranoid. I dunno.” Joyride says with a shrug, sipping her coffee and taking another bite of pancake.
Emerald asks where the two guides went.
“Nishan is keeping watch out front. I think Loupe is still in bed. We should probably get going soon though.” Joyride says with a shrug.
Emerald eats another pancake, and then asks Ruby what happened when Uictoria took her prisoner.
“She just sort of tied me up and said she was going to use me as a hostage, and that I probably wouldn’t get hurt if I just played along. They were discussing their next moves when you sent me that letter. After they read it they took me to that small stream and then we just sorta waited for you.” Ruby says through a mouthful of pancakes.
Emerald nods, and then says that the two guides were talking about some pretty useful stuff, and the colt makes sure to say that they might teach her some cool things if she wanted.
Ruby beams and nods.
