When Thomas and the CMC arrived back at the dairy, the Fat Controller, Twilight, Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow were there. They were very cross.

"Thomas! Girls!" Thundered Twilight. "What on earth were you four playing at?! Racing along the mainline at high speed and shaking your milk churns about?!

"We just have the ice cream factory manager on the phone telling about the milk being nearly butter!" Rarity said crossly.

"Mind explaining yourselves?!" Applejack demeaned.

"Well.... We WERE going slowly at first, but then, Emily and Zipp Storm called us 'slowcoaches'..." Apple Bloom said nervously.

"We were...really cross, so we raced them to the next signal..." Gulped Sweetie Belle.

And we managed to beat them, but we had forgotten about the churns until.... Well... Added Scootaloo.

"Did you really beat them?" Rainbow asked eagerly at first, only to break off as the Fat Controller, Twilight, Applejack and Rarity shot her stern looks. "I mean, not cool speeding along while pulling cargo!"

We understand that Emily and Zipp shouldn't said that to you four, but YOU shouldn't done something so silly!" Scolded Applejack.

"If somebody says something like that to you, then you should have just ignored 'em!" Rarity said sternly.

"It is nearly time for the party and you still have not collected the butter from the other side of the island! The children will have no cakes for the party! Boomed the Fat Controller.

"And Pinkie Pie will be VERY disappointed, you know she loves a good party!" Twilight finished.

Thomas, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo felt terrible!

The little blue engine and fillies trumbled slowly and carefully back to the ice cream factory.

They didn't feel reliable. They had let everyone down.

"What have we done...?" Sniffed Sweetie Belle sadly.

We haven't been Really Useful..." Apple Bloom whimpered.

"And now, the Fat Controller, Twilight and our big sisters are disappointed with us..." Scootaloo sighed. Just wait until our parents hears about this..."

Thomas was too sad and ashamed to say anything...

Headcanon:

Scootaloo is adopted by Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles after her original family pass away.

Pear Butter and Bright Mac are alive.

The events of Season 8-9 of MLP (With the exception of The Washouts, Sound of Silence and Best Gift Ever) are not canon.

G5 is also not canon, however Zipp Storm does exist in my headcanon.
