Description:
Edward returned to the pub to see Elizabeth again, but this time it was different. Edward awaited Elizabeth's arrival so they could shop for presents for hearth's warming eve.
Elizabeth wore a beautiful red and gold winter dress when she came down. As well as brown shoes to keep her hooves warm, she wore a red hat decorated with colourful flowers.
"You look beautiful, Elizabeth." Said, Edward.
"Thank you, Edward", Elizabeth replied.
"Are we ready, Edward?" Asked, Elizabeth.
"Yes, I'm ready." Replied Edward.
"I'm glad", said Elizabeth. "My bag contains everything I need, and I had time to get three presents last week."
"What did you get?" Edward looked interested as he spoke.
"I have your gift, Henry's, Adam's and Thomas's. I need to get the other presents and wrap them," Elizabeth said.
"Okay, thank you so much, Elizabeth." Edward smiled happily. "Well, should we head out now?
"Yes, where do you want to go first?" Ask Elizabeth.
Edward thought, then said.
"Maybe we should start with clothes for Griffin and a painting for Erik.
However, I hope we have enough money."
"You don't have to worry about money. I have some in my bag. Everything will be fine." Said Elizabeth, reassuring Edward.
"Yes, thank you, and I have some money too. We can work together and buy the gifts." Said, Edward.
"We're all set." Said Elizabeth.
"Yes, we should head out." Edward Areed.
They both left and walked shopping.
Over the week, Edward and Elizabeth bought presents for their friends.
When they were looking for Griffin's clothes, they asked the shopkeeper if there was a jacket that was thin enough to cover someone but not too hot to wear in hot weather.
It wasn't clear, but the tailor would check in the back.
So, he went there and found coats that did not sell earlier in the summer but are now on sale.
After showing each coat, Edward and Elizabeth chose one that was just right.
It was a grey coat with pockets, brown shoes, and a matching hat - perfect for Griffin.
It wasn't too bright. It wasn't too dark and was the ideal outfit for when winter was over.
They bought the coat and put the clothes in one of their bags.
They did the same for Matthew's mother.
They found a store full of gorgeous clothes in a small neighborhood in town.
There they saw a beautiful slim dress in beige with gold accents and ruffles.
They even saw a hat that matched. They bought the dress and hat and left.
They found some floor rugs for Dracula in a furniture store. Pastures Valley had the most ornate rugs.
They found one that Dracula would like - a medium-sized blue, red and beige rug. It also has detailed designs. It had plants and shapes on and around its edge.
Their money allowed Edward and Elizabeth to buy it, even though it was expensive.
Edward and Elizabeth helped each other bring it back to the pub, and they helped bring it to Elizabeth's room.
Later in the day, they got a sketchbook and art supplies for Matthew. Knowing he wanted to open a business, Edward and Elizabeth thought this would help him create plans and designs.
They wanted to give Erik a beautiful painting for his room. Unfortunately, they were too expensive to buy.
Therefore, Edward and Elizabeth did their part to save money.
Elizabeth asked her boss if she could help out in the kitchen by cleaning and cooking. However, the boss was hesitant, yet Her ability to clean utensils, plates, and floors in the kitchen proved valuable.
Elizabeth got money from her boss, while Edward and Henry got the same during the day and night.
However, even though their employers are happy with their dedicated work, they won't be paid until Friday, and they worry it won't be enough to buy the painting.
As Adam was shopping for food, he noticed a flier for a hearth warming eve fair.
He got excited when he saw a pony putting fliers on trees to advertise the event.
Adam asked if he could have a flyer. The stallion gave it to him, and Adam thanked him.
As Edward came from work, showing signs of working extra, Adam came over and revealed what he had found.
Although Edward was still worried about his and Elizabeth's situation, he thought this sounded exciting.
Adam said they would all attend once it opened. Adam gave Edward the flier, and Edward headed to tell Elizabeth about the fair, which lasted until New Year's.
Maybe there could be another surprise for Erik there.
Once there, Edward showed Elizabeth the flyer.
"Wow! A fair! Is it okay if I join too?" Elizabeth said excitedly.
"Yes, you can, and maybe we can find a special gift for Erik too." Said, Edward.
"That sounds like a great idea", Elizabeth said. When will we go to the fair?
"On Friday", Edward said, "I hope everything turns out well."
"Don't worry, Edward." Said Elizabeth. "Everything will be fine; we'll get Erik's gift soon. Elizabeth said reassuringly."
Edward smiled. "Thank you, Elizabeth, thank you for your help."
"You're welcome", Edward. Replied Elizabeth.
As Friday approached, their days at the pub continued as usual.
As soon as Friday arrived, Elizabeth, Edward, and Henry received generous payments.
Later everyone came to the pub to see Elizabeth and take her to the fair.
After Edward explained where Henry was, he showed Elizabeth his money, and Elizabeth showed hers; they both had enough to buy a painting.
Later, they headed to the fair.
After that, while Elizabeth was talking to Edward's friends, Adam noticed Edward looking a bit unhappy.
"Edward, what's the matter?"
Asked, Adam.
Edward sighed, then whispered to Adam, "I don't want to lie to Elizabeth about Henry and me."
"However, I want to wait for the right time to tell her the truth."
Adam understood how Edward was feeling and then reassured him.
"Edward don't worry; once the time comes, you, I and all of us will tell Elizabeth." You won't be alone. Said, Adam.
"Would you do that?"
Edward questioned.
Adam nodded his head.
"Yes, Edward. Everything will be all right."
Edward smiled. "Thank you, Adam."
"You're welcome, Edward. Let's have a good time at the fair. We need a break."
"I agree; let's go."
And they all walked to the fair.
