Description:
Phil Srobeighn here, the guy who takes Fan of Most Everything’s Pony Magic: the Gathering card ideas and turns them into actual card-like images. As a fan of Fan, I occasionally make cards that he’s not going to post, just for the joy of having them. The second time I saw the Dolly Parton Challenge, I immediately thought of some of my favorite unused Friendship is Card Games cards. Here, with Fan’s blessing, is the end result, using my four favorite never-before-seen cards in a good fit for the meme.
LinkedIn – from The Fault in our Cutie Marks. Fan uploaded Ponyville Paleontologist; this was actually before I started making his cards each week.
Facebook – from The Hearth’s Warming Club. Fan uploaded Dragonlord Scales. I always imagine that Songs would have special borders, like enchantment creatures in Theros, if Magic ever officially designated the subtype and made it a theme like Fan does.
Instagram – from Parental Glideance. Fan uploaded World-Shaking Revelation; this is my favorite Fan card of all time and I long for it every time my Spitemare hits the battlefield. Before the episode had been in the herd’s mind for long, an image I uploaded of this sandwich got taken down for Rule #0 with the message “This isn’t Instagram.”
Tinder – from Hard to Say Anything. Credit to the original image (actual original posting in the Source) by Scythemouse. Fan posted Brief Tour, which, no offense to the other original cards for the episodes here, was the only card I didn’t have to look up the name of to remember.
