“Alright… It’s about three.. I should go get North from Moon’s lessons.. MaybeI could get a chance to see the end of their lesson..” Evening muttered to himself, putting away his lance and informing Silver that he was heading out. The white earth pony called back in adknowlegement as he started heading out. Their trips to Canterlot happened about once every three weeks where he and Northern Star would stay in the Queens’ castle alongside their children and basically have a wee-long slumber party. But during that week while Evening Star would go to his battle training with his team after dropping Northern Star off with Blue Moon where they would train in an empty field seeing as Northern’s magic could be somewhat volatile because the sheer degree of power that he held. Because of this fact, Evening never questioned Moon when he requested not to have anyone around when he did his lessons. He was a trusted teacher after he had taught Andromeda.

“Alright, review. How do you properly incapacitate an enemy?” Blue Moon’s voice could be heard as Evening trotted through town square. Stopping next to a building, Evening listened.

“Lift them with gravity magic and hold them still!” There was Northern Star.. Alright, so defense magic.. He wasn’t supposed to teach him that, but it was good he knew how to defend himself.. He opened his mouth to call out but stopped when he heard them continue.

“Alright. And if they continue to resist and you feel it is difficult to hold them?” Moon pressed, sounding mildly impressed

“Create a vacuum seal and hold it until they pass out so that you can properly transport them!” North chirped happily, a little skip in his gallop.

Blue moon opened his mouth to either praise him or correct whenever Evening Star finally broke in, “No!” he shouted, effectivly scaring his little brother and causing Blue Moon to whirl around, sparks dancing along his horn, ready to defend him and his student. They both relaxed whenever they saw it was only Evening Star. Though the blue stallion only stood taller as the guardsmen in training barreled towards them, looking angry, allowing the dark foal to hide behind his flank.

“What kind of dangerous, sadistic crap are you teaching him??” Evening snapped, fury blazing in his violet glare.

“Before you interrupted me… I was going to correct him.” Blue Moon seem unfazed by the taller stallion, ignoring that the prince before him was larger in both height and muscle mass. He could handle him if he went off the handle. “I was going to tell him that was a last resort if he feels he is truly in danger. The proper thing is to request help in restraining first and not to resort in sucking away their air as it can cause brain damage.” He spoke in a smooth, calm tone, looking to the dark blue foal who looked up at him, amber eyes wide and confused. He didn’t remember that part of the lesson… Did he do something wrong?

Evening grit his teeth and snorted angrily. “You aren’t supposed to be teaching him defense magic anyways. That is my duty.” he jerked his head to the castle. “Come on Northern Star. We are going back to the castle. Your lessons are over.” Evening almost never used North’s full name unless he was in trouble. The small foal lowered his head in shame and fought back tears as he trotted alongside his brother.

“I will see you in the morning, North. It will be our last lesson of the week so I expect you to review what you learned this week. There will be a test.” Blue Moon called after the pair, turning and heading to the other side of town. To the old broken down castle where Chaos waited for their own time to unwind.

Blue Moon and Evening Star don’t really get along to begin with, but the moment he suspects anything is even the slightest bit wrong, Evening will jump Moon’s ass and this is nothing new to him. As previously mentioned, there is trust when it comes to teaching the younger children of Twilight as he had done such a good job with Andromeda. But there is still animosity between him and Evening. But the kids don’t realize nor does Twilight or Sunburst. All they know is that Blue Moon is a good teacher and they think that Evening’s behavior is just because they got into too many arguments when they were young. They don’t pay him much mind when Evening talks bad about him cause they trust him.

Hahah. Blue is an asshole. But he knows to talk himself out of trouble. Everyone trusts him but Evening.
