I do like polyshipping a lot, though I haven't done any yet myself... and since I already have ships set up for my main verse, the Guardianverse, I decided to start a new one! (I will be changing one of the ships to include a polyship in my updated Guardianverse but that project is still in the works so ssshhhhh ;))

To start everything off, let me tell you about the kiddos! Then I'll be discussing the dynamic between this herd below that.

Name: Gold Rush
Species: Pegasus
Special Talent: Flying as quick as lightning
Facts: Gold is the oldest of the bunch, but he's also the most immature. His sisters often look after him but he doesn't like to admit it. Very confident in himself, but likes to give off a laidback attitude to others. Can have a temper when things to go his way, but give him a little time to himself, and some space to fly to blow off steam, and he'll get over it quick. Enjoys being with his family the most, family is everything, and will do anything for them. The beads on the elastic around the bottom of his tail each represent one of his mothers so that they're always with him.

Name: Rainbow Grace
Species: Unicorn
Special Talent: Giving to others
Facts: She is named for her mother Rainbow Dash, the one who carried her, but she often goes by Grace instead of her full name. Very gentle and soft spoken, a mare of few words, but those words are always quite meaningful. She wants to do for others in whatever way they may need, sometimes this is cooking for them, sometimes this is cleaning, sometimes this is just listening, but no matter what it is she is always happy to do it. Her generous and kind spirit she learned from Rarity and Fluttershy, but her work ethic comes directly from Applejack. She is the most mature of the group and often checks up on her siblings and mothers and even her extended family.

Name: Melrose Apple
Species: Pegasus
Special Talent: Knowing when is the best time to harvest apples
Facts: Melrose, nicknamed Rosie by her family, is quick witted and hardworking and as sweet as they come. She loves to read and learn new things about farming, especially when it comes to apples, but it all comes from a deep desire to give her family a better life. Since she is able to fly, she often visits the other branches of the Apple family and shares her knowledge with them to help strengthen the crop and harvest at the right time. With her help, the Apples are better off and stronger than ever before. She's also worked as a delegate for different parts of the world, specifically in trade, bringing fresh delicious apples to new places to create strong bonds between ponies and other creatures.

Name: Blue Belle
Species: Earth pony
Special Talent: Soothing others with her singing
Facts: Known in Ponyville as one of the most beautiful mares that anyone has ever seen, she can charm the pants off of anyone, and I mean anyone. Blue Belle is gentle and kind and has a gorgeous singing voice that entrances all creatures, even little animals. She may not be able to speak to animals, but she is very fond of them and has a certain way with them. She has used her talents to start a singing career, but she isn't fond of being away from home for too long so it wasn't really for her. Though she still does the occasional concert in Ponyville and sometimes Canterlot. Now she does a little modelling work in Ponyville and helps with the family farm when she can.

Polyherd Background

To start off with, polyamory is very common in modern Equestria, even considered the norm. Those who choose to be monogamous are the outliners in society, but they aren't shamed or anything... most just don't understand the choice. In this particular polyherd, Rarity and Rainbow had been dating before Twilight ever came to Ponyville, both of them also dating outside of their relationship so as to add others to their herd. Applejack was brought in by Rarity later, around the same time Twilight became an alicorn, as the bond between everyone had been strengthened and their feelings were impossible to ignore. Applejack and Rainbow butted heads quite a bit at first, but they grew to love each other deeply and their tendency to argue became a playful dynamic in their relationship.

Fluttershy was added to the herd much later, about Season 7 in show time, but she had been casually dating both AJ and Rainbow since they all returned from the mission in Starlight's village. Fluttershy was honestly too nervous to be a part of the herd to join for a long time, she had some soul searching to do and needed to build up her self confidence before she felt like it was time. Though she and Rarity didn't start out dating, they grew close in the herd and bonded over their mutual love for Applejack and Rainbow Dash, growing to love each other as well. They all decided that Fluttershy would be the last to join the herd and stopped dating others at this point, wanting instead to focus on starting a family.

To start their family, a new house was build on Sweet Apple Acres just for them, while Big Mac and his family took the main house. They lived together for a while and finally they all got married, having a beautiful wedding on the farm, shortly after Twilight became Equestria's main ruler. It wasn't long until they were trying to children, working with Twilight specifically to combine the magic of each of them and then separating it into four souls. These souls had to be carried naturally, as is custom in this practice, so it was decided the Rainbow and AJ would each carry two as they had the strongest bodies for the task. Rarity had no desire to be pregnant, and Fluttershy didn't have the constitution for it and it would be too much of a risk for her.

Their pregnancies were watched very closely by Twilight herself, having moved all of the mares into the castle while they waited for the due date to arrive. Rainbow Dash went into labor first, and she gave birth to Gold Rush and Rainbow Grace quite easily. Only a few days later, Applejack gave birth to Melrose Apple and Blue Belle. Twilight delivered all four of the babies and she and Pinkie Pie are their godmothers. Though technically they weren't all born on the same day, they are considered quadruplets due to the fact they were all formed with the same spell, this is customary in this universe. When the babies and their mothers were strong enough to travel, they all moved back to Ponyville.

When it comes to parenting, Fluttershy and Applejack took on the biggest roles as they were always home. Rarity had to travel for her fashion career, though she did her best to stay home whenever she could, and Rainbow Dash had responsibilities with the Wonderbolts that sometimes took her from home as well. This isn't to say they didn't love their children and wives, nor did any of them resent the two mares for leaving for work. The family bond in this herd was much too strong to be broken by a little distance, and everyone always came together whenever possible.

(Any ideas on who I'll be pairing Pinkie and Twilight with??? It'll be different from the ships in my other verses! I'd love to hear your guesses! More herds to come in the future!)
