For the background on this piece: in 2012 there was no Equestria Girls. I had watched the entirety of <span class="caps">MLP</span> on YouTube that summer, and was practicing designing and drawing fashion. I created concepts for the fashion of each of the mane 6, as well as Celestia and Luna, which you can find here. When trying to think of projects to work on today, I decided I wanted to recreate these concepts in <span class="caps">EQG</span> style vectors!

The issue with these designs is that I created them with human skin tones, while the clothes are the shades of the ponies coats. So, if I go with normal <span class="caps">EQG</span> coloring it will look like they’re wearing the same colors as their skin is, and it would look weird. So I’m going to go with human skin tones, and if anyone has any issues with the races I choose, I won’t hesitate to delete your comments. Let’s keep it civil, everypony.

Rainbow is up next. I went with a super athletic design originally. I don’t know that she would wear this everywhere, but it’s something she would wear while exercising or doing one of her many sports. At the time, I was drawing in Danny Phantom style because it was the only way I knew how, and went with a crop top because that was the style at the time. I tried to update it and give her a t-shirt crop top with baggy sleeves while being tight under the bust. Then some matching shorts with yellow trim, and rainbow socks because it’s Dash! Red sneakers complete the look. I went with a Caucasian skin tone but slightly tan because she’s outside all the time.
