Occupation: (Formerly) A city guard of Paradise Gardens, bodyguard, and servant to Corporal Trade “Wayward” Wind (“Ward”, for short).

Fervent Ash is the fiance’ of Summer Ardor (a lorekeeper of knowledge and books), who were both privy to the location of an artifact known as the Purity Fragment in their oasis home, Paradise Garden; a source of prosperity and fertile, life-filled state in the Wasteland, sought by The People’s Company and the Star-worshiper cult, The Purveyors. As a guard, he assumes some of the blame for the enslavement of his kin on himself for not having arrested Ward and had him trialed for execution as a spy when he suspected he was there to steal or obtain information on the whereabouts of their sacred relic. By then, it was already too late; Ward had unknowingly led The Company right to the Purity Fragment, spelling the end of Paradise. The Company’s MPs from their mountain-based militia, Dragon’s Den, kidnapped and enslaved the vast majority of Kirin in Paradise Gardens, including Ash and his mate-to-be, Summer.
