Little 2 hour painting (while also typing in stream chat hah). Based on the latest MLP:FIM episode S09E03 Uprooted. A minor scene interpretation.

Not at my home setup, so taking a bit to get used to again, borrowed Cintiq. And my schedule is a bit different and all that. So all-in-all didn’t have the biggest hopes for this, but still gotta try anyway eh! Busy with cons and all that does things.

It’s always interesting when I need to paint a painting in a painting. It’s been a while. But it ends up being somewhat easier than expected every time, probably because it stands out so much from my regular shading when side by side in the same image. Doesn’t mean I don’t need to put some effort into it, tho lol.

Maybe I should’ve made Gallus like my recent vultures…
