Blueblood: “So you see, my dear. I’m as much of a princes as Celestia is a ruler of Equestria.” The stallion smiled proudly as he looked over at the fair mare he’d spent most of his days with.
Moondancer blankly stared ahead as they walked through the Canterlot Gardens not at all interested in the ridiculous lies he called stories. “Mhm.” Was all she muttered, and Blueblood was perfectly fine with this.
Blueblood looked at the mare and gave a soft grin. She was a beautiful creature, unicorn, wealthy status in Canterlot, smart, and friends with royalty – all good qualities he looked for in a mare. Though these were only to make him look good. The mare didn’t really care for his company at all. The past month was merely research for her and her alone.
“Blueblood?” She spoke looking over at him curiously.
The stallion raised an eyebrow and grinned, “Yes my dear, camellia blossom?” He asked using different names of flowers each time – which only annoyed the mare truthfully.
She sighed and looked down at the ground then up at him, asking bluntly, “How would you feel about having a foal?”
Blueblood stared at her for a long moment, wondering if she was serious and he finally let out a snort of laughter. “A foal? My dear, tiger lily you must be mistaken. I don’t need to produce an heir until I’ve found a mare suitable enough for marriage. And although you are suitable enough, I’d much rather enjoy the play-colt lifestyle a little while longer. Don’t you agree?”
Moondancer rolled her eyes and sighed. “I didn’t mean as a family, you dunce. I don’t frankly care for you as a pony, but you’re also an intriguing specimen. You come from noble bloodline; you’re a unicorn like myself; and you seem to be in perfect health.” This made the stallion’s ego only grow.
“You’re not wrong, my little rose bu-”
“But! I have no desire to marry you or even consider you anything but an acquaintance let alone a lover. All I need is an heir. I have no desire for a lover or life partner but as a mare it is still my duty to produce my own family heir. Some pony to teach as well.”
Blueblood looked at her quite confused, though he wasn’t really the smartest equine.
Moondancer noticed his blank expression and rolled her eyes furrowing her brows. “All I need is a father specimen to father my foal. I ask that you have nothing to do with me after this, and want nothing from the foal either. I’m merely asking for your DNA. The foal would not even carry your name or title.”
The stallion slowly nodded, a strand of blonde hair falling in his eyes in a very sensual manner. “Oh? Why can’t you just use your magic if you’re such a smart mare…”
“You idiot! Creating life is not a safe magical practice! There’s no sure way of creating a new life form of any kind that’s even been proven once, let alone tested! It’s an illegal practice and anypony who would think otherwise is an utter fool.” She scoffed annoyed at his idiotic remarks. “Honestly you’re just not intelligent enough to keep up with me, are you.”
The stallion shrugged his broad shoulders and sighed it off, not even feeling insulted. “Fine then. All you need is a one night stand and I’m the stallion to do it.”
“However you wish to call it, I don’t care.” She sighed and looked ahead once more, walking towards the exit of the gardens with him right beside her. “Now, will you agree to this or not?”
Blueblood truly didn’t give this much thought before nodding in agreement. “I don’t need any illegitimate foal coming to me later on in life so only if a contract is drawn up and this is only a legal matter. Otherwise, I’d be happy to fluster you up in bed, my sweet sunflower.”
Moondancer raised her eyebrow once more. “Fine, but you won’t see me again after that. Not willingly anyway, so I’d prefer it if you didn’t call me by those idiotic foliage names.” She scoffed and stepped ahead mumbling to herself, “What a dunce…can’t even remember the name of a helianthus…” She stopped and looked back at him. “And there will be wine. A great deal of it. I’ll need it if I have to do anything physical with you.” Moondancer scoffed before walking ahead and back towards the Canterlot Castle.
Blueblood could only smirk and nod, following her inside the large establishment, where he took residence as of late.
I actually love Moondancer <3 Salty nerdy bab, not like the one in the comics really. I also imagine that she’s more like an ugly betty, and she gets cleaned up and beautiful later on in life. Though it’s just part of her ‘experiment’ with Blueblood. In my AU Moonie is an asexual mare with no desire to have sexual relations with anypony. The only purpose they provide is to procreate and that’s the one thing she feels she needs now – an heir to teach.
