Description:
“C’mon Sun-Sun, you can’t be cooped up in here all day!”
Sunset’s voice and breath tickled his ear, messing with his concentration as he attempted to continue reading. Princess Twilight had allowed him a copy of the first book on dragons, and he couldn’t tear himself away.
“Yes, I can Sunny.” He muttered, allowing that nickname to slip through. The two had begun giving each other nicknames, due to their similar names they already had.
“Seriously.” Sunset shifted slightly on his back to a more comfortable position, and peaked over his shoulder. “The book can wait, Bursty. You can read it all day tomorrow. Besides, Twilight is having a little get together in her castle, and I said I would bring you along.”
“I’m sure it isn’t that important.”
“Sunburst, this is Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Magic. She’s cordially inviting you to her castle. And you’re going to turn it down for a book?” The bemusement in her voice wasn’t lost on him.
“Yup.”
There was a pause before the other orange colored unicorn spoke.
“I heard Starlight and her new marefriend are going to be there.”
Sunburst perked up slightly. Starlight, with a marefriend? Sunburst suddenly felt slightly protective and almost brotherly indignation at the thought.
“Oh?”
“Yes. Starry said she wanted you to meet her.” Sunny chuckled a bit, nuzzling against Sunburst’s neck.
Sunburst paused a moment before setting the book down.
“Okay, I’ll go.” He said, but not without a sorrowful look towards the literature he just passed up.
“Great!” Sunset suddenly jumped up, grabbing Sunburst’s hoof. “You’ll be my date then.”
“Oh, of cours—” His eyes widened. “W-Wait, what?!”

I ship it. SunSun, or as someone said, Suncest. I like similar colored ponies getting together sometimes, like Braeburn and Spitfire for example.
