Emerald says he wants a manly disguise.
“A manly disguise? Really? You?” Joyride says, honest surprise in her face.
In response Emerald glares and puffs out his cheeks. What’s wrong with wanting a manly disguise?
“Hmm, well… I’m not sure what I could do to help you there.” Joyride says chewing on her salad.
Emerald leans back and watches the dishes washing themselves in the kitchen for a few moments. A mustache would be manly, but that would just attract more attention. Spitballing, he asks if he could get a potion to increase his muscle mass.
“Nah, that wouldn’t be feasible. You’d need to take the potion constantly to keep up the effect, like every few hours, and I wouldn’t feel good about doing that. You’d almost certainly get potion sickness.”
Emerald just recently learned what potion sickness is from his studies. It’s from a build up of magic and alchemical ingredients that can cause serious problems in your body.
Emerald leans on his hooves. He is out of ideas.
