Nova sits in the hospital room, worrying about what her friends and family will think of her “new look”

Nova: thinking Will someponies be afraid? … Will foals look at me and run, or will they look at me and see a brave, wounded soldier? And Xi.. Oh Xi, what will HE think? He was already so worried about me -

As if on cue, a knock comes at the door

Crescendo: Nova, you awake?

Nova: Crescendo.. back so soon? Come in..

Crescendo: Opens the door Actually, I have somewhere to be right now.. but I had to go get someone..

Xi: walks past Crescendo slowly with a bouquet of flowers infront of his face Nova… sorry I’m late..

Nova: Xipilli! Nervously tries to cover her scarred eye with her mane Um, It’s alright.. You’re one of the first visitors I’ve had anyways… Besides Crescendo, I mean.

Xi: I got these for you.. I wasn’t sure what flowers you liked and – Nova? Why are you hiding?

Nova: N-no reason, just this eye’s a bit sensitive to light, is all..! Hold on a moment. turns around and fishes through the drawers, finds a white medical eye patch and puts it on over her bad eye

Xi: Oh.. I see, did something happen to i- Puts the bouquet down and goes to touch her mane, Nova backs up a bit

Nova: I-it’s nothing to worry about Xi, uh.. come on, sit down. Tell me what’s been going on while I’ve been away! laughs nervously and gets into her bed

Xi: blinks a few times but slowly sits in the chair beside her How are you feeling, anyways?

Nova: Oh, enough about me! I’m fine! How’s Spritz and the Cider sales going- gasps as Xipilli’s tail comes around to put his hand on her hoof

Xi: narrows his eyes You’re not trying to hide something from me, are you, Nova?

Nova: ….. Xipilli, please. Don’t worry so much. I’ll be fine..

Xi: Nova, you’d be crazy to think I’ll ever stop worrying about you… It’s all I ever do. Now please, what are you trying to hide from me?

Nova: …..

Xipilli finally made it to the hospital, but it seems Nova is scared of what he will think of her scars and new appearance.
