Description:

Quick bio because I can’t be bothered to write 4999 paragraphs about him for once

Canticum Sirenis (Siren Song)

He was one of the ponies, as a colt, who washed up on the island of Lutei

I know his talent as a pony was singing the sailor songs at the head of the ship

his voice is very smooth and probably could be used to convince a suicidal dude to not jump

i’m going to end up creating the erethral god/goddess of the island

the reason for the fog and hiding

ok basically a pirate ship was shot down

some pirates (a good 10 of them) survived

washed up on the island (out of, of course, the kindness of the goddess Luterian, where Siren ended up deriving the island’s final name from)

the island was complete chaos, totally uncontrolled by any force other than itself and separated from the rest of the world by the fog and such

hence it being split up

the island had jagged rocks separating both sides at the time, there was no real river, just some water sorta going around the spiked rocks and such

the pirates found that they couldn’t get into the island because of the temperatures being so out of whack

but also found the rocks could be made into sort of “islands” and such

so the pirates began to chop away at them in order to create at least some kind of “home” that wasn’t just the beach

as they’d basically lost all hope for getting out

however, siren’s father, the captain of the ship, had begun to feel the effects of sickness and such

the small colt was absolutely dedicated to his father (like that was the only family he actually had other than the other pirates, whom of course he cared about but yeah – his mother had died long ago from nothing more than AWESOME PIRATE WARS it was sad but yeah) so he was determined to find something that could fix it

so of course he was an idiot and ran into the frigus side of the island first

he managed to get out before the cold could freeze him to death but of course, he wasn’t going to give up

he just went heyyy i’m gonna run into the other side because heat = plants right?? right?????

So Siren, of course, delves right on in, why would he ever want to rest at all, that’s making too much sense

But switching body temperatures so fast, of course, wasn’t really the best idea

and ended up making him collapse from the heat even though his internal temperature was cool

he did die, duh

and “awoke” in the sky

on a cloud with an erethral being, no less

she was a beautiful mare, but it was impossible to truly tell what she looked like as her colours seemed to shift and such like an aurora

Siren could see his father and such down there and he was growing incredibly upset and asked where he was

was informed he had died

and the goddess admired this colt’s dedication, ending up sending him back with a cure for his father’s sickness

when he got back to where the pirates were keeping his father, a lot of them gasped

Siren didn’t care, he just ran over to his father and readily fed him the cure (which was a plant that only grows in the lava of the calidum biome)

his father almost immediately began to recover from the power of the plant, and looked over at his son

and commented on his new wings, which ultimately confused the hell out of siren because where the fuck would he have gotten wings like holy shit how does that happen

lo and behold, there they were

and in the skies was a beautiful aurora

somehow he felt like he knew what his destiny was, deep in his heart

to make this beautiful island into his home

Siren of course began to evolve as the times went by, those “evolutions” being his ears and the mane that eventually trailed down his back

which passed down to his children once he reached adulthood
