Pumpkin and Pound were inseparable at birth, being twins, and were hardly seen without each other. It seemed they were attached at the flank, frequently finishing each other sentences, and always supported each other. But as they grew up, they began having separate groups of friends and weren’t so attached anymore. Pound was being coached by Rainbow Dash while Pumpkin by Twilight. These apprenticeships lasted through school until their parents decided to teach them of baking.

Pound, despite his large stature and big hooves was able to create delicate souffles, while Pumpkin was a little more rambunctious of the two with the art, never mind how it tasted. Hoping that Pumpkin could learn from the best, they sent her to Pinkie Pie who was able to match her energy and managed to teach her much.

One day Pumpkin found Pinkie in one of her depressions, something she had never seen before, and did not know how to handle it. Pinkie said so many depressing things, it made Pumpkin’s mane deflate. Even after Pinkie became lively again and apologized profusely her mane did not puff up anymore. With the help of her brother, Pumpkin managed to retain her lost happiness, although she keeps her mane straight.

A few years later did the two start having feelings for one another. Even their parent’s could sense it, how they had awkward, semi-flirty conversations during dinner. Cup Cake and Carrot Cake decided, after much debate, that if their children were to fall in love that it would be their choice and that they would support their children. It might be uncouth, but if they loved each other, that’s all that mattered.

And by Celestia, it happened! Months after did the two finally get together, and only a year after did they publicly date. See, Equestria is a bit different. Incest is uncommon, but not reviled. Sometimes ponies (mostly upperclass ponies) found this a tad crude, but are usually polite enough to not comment.

Pumpkin and Pound decided to take up Sugar Cube Corner after their parents retired, and soon became very popular and a tourist site for passersby and travelers to rest their hooves. As was business booming, they decided to get a performer to entertain customers, Spike and Sweetie Belle’s daughter Allegro.

The two had three children, one colt and two fillies.

There was Angel Cake, the eldest of the three and the only colt. He’s a rather intelligent, and maybe a bit neurotic. Not adventurous in the least bit, but able to take up the challenge if he can muster up some bravery. Kind, but often picked on. (either for his parents being related or his general skittishness) He’s a responsible big brother, and a great studier.

The eldest sister, Coffee Cake, is the second youngest. She’s everything her brother is not. Fast-hooved and ablazed with energy, she’s quite like her godmother Pinkie Pie. She’s headstrong but sweet, and kind to all but will not take bullying. She’s up to anything and everything, and loves sports.

And the youngest, Velvet Cake. Taking after her grandmother in appearance, Velvet is a sweet little darling, not one you’d think would get in any trouble. But looks can be decieving. She’s quite mischevious and loves pulling pranks, especially on her siblings. Velvet is very smart, but sometimes a little close-minded, but loves her family immensely.
