Biography: There is, in truth, not much to say about Jean - a lifelong lover of the serene countryside, born and raised in the quiet outskirts of an Adelartian town, an avid enjoyer of music and drink, Wéineg is the shining example of the average Adelartian given flesh, and he wouldn't have it any other way. His one odd quirk is his enjoyment of traditional hunting, preferring to use bow and arrow, as he was taught, and when asked on the matter, he says it's a way of keeping his parents' memory alive. One should not assume, however, that Jean is a boneheaded luddite, as no griffon would ever have made it this far under Merlock's wing without a steady claw for a rifle, and in this respect, Jean has always delivered.

Though normally light hearted and fond of levity even in the midst of danger, the mere mention of his namesake is the one thing known to drive him to the cusp of rage - Wéineg's hatred for the Sheriff is personal, and only a select few among the merryband ever got a straight answer as to why. Speculation is rampant among the troops, but as far as Wéineg cares to inform, Jean de Nottemagne stole from him something very precious, for which the only proper payment is his life - that's all one needs to know.
