The Grand Council of Equestria.
Some time after the defeat of Frenemy Dusk, The Council of Friendship
was dissolved and in it's place, a new council consisting of creatures
of different kinds, all of them close friends. This diverse body
headed by King Spike, monitor and manage Equestria while also recieving
external assistance, audience, and input from other kingdoms.

The members are as follows:

**Spike* - After single-handely defeating Princess Twilight in battle, Spike*
was acknowledged/elected as the new ruler of Equestria since he successfully
led the rebellion against her, making history as the kingdom's first dragon ruler.
Though he was more than willing to step up as a leader, it has taken him some
time to get used to it as he was always more accustomed to being an assistant or advisor.
However thanks to some support from his friends and wife, Queen Sweetie Belle, he has
really come into his own. He has also become more powerful, able to wield his fire breath
in various ways not known to most other dragons. The Staff of Sacanas, which he used to
drain Twilight's magic, is kept with him at all times.

**Applejack* - Formally a member of the Mane 6, a group of ponies who saved Equestria countless*
times, Applejack is now a member of the grand council, chosen for her honesty and wisdom. She
still lives on Sweet Apple Acres, but isn't able to do much due to now being completely blind. She
still however remains a prominent figure in her family, often sharing stories of her's and the Mane 6's
many adventures with her grandchildren. She no longer wears her prized hat as she has passed it
down to her daughter, Frizzy Curls.

**Silverstream* - Silverstream is now the new headmistress (Or headgriff) of the School of Friendship,*
succeeding Starlight Glimmer. While she isn't nearly as bouncy and full of energy as she used to be,
she still manages to keep the school fun and engaging. Her time studying at the school and serving
as it's new headmistress has made her a real expert in friendship, earning her a spot on the council.
She approaches every problem with compassion and delights in enriching her students with knowledge
and growth. She is married to Gallus, who is currently Canterlot's captain of the guard.

**Discord* - The lord of chaos and disharmony himself, one might be utterly baffled as to why Discord*
is a member of the council. However, the other members acknowledge him for his cunningness and
even at times wisdom. He has very much mellowed out throughout the years, and is often more sincere.
Though that doesn't stop him from having a little chaotic fun from time to time. His history as a former
villain and use of chaos magic aids well in the affairs of the kingdom, and he really knows

how to gain a tactical advantage against any adversaries that may arise, something that

Applejack specifically seems to admire.

So those are the members. Quite an interesting bunch aren't they?
