I have come to bring you home.
A rather familiar face has come in search for Sparky.

The saga of G4 meets G5 continues. This time, I thought I'd add my boi into the mix. We all know him, we all love him. But it does bring into question what he's been up to since the end of FIM. The way I see it he eventually decided to return to the Dragon Lands and live amongst his own kind after the fall of Canterlot. And overtime, his attitude and even ideals towards certain things have changed a bit. His experiences serving next to Twilight and witnessing the demise of the society and empire that they tried to share with other creatures have taught it him that it would best for creatures to live among their own kind rather than intermingling. And when little Sparky's egg goes missing from the Dragon Lands, he takes it upon himself to search for it.

Living in the Dragon Lands has also hardened Spike to a degree. He's been put in many positions where he's had to defend himself or others of his kind, and he has really toughened up with living in such a hostile, rugged environment. And of course he became blind in one eye, because why not? Maybe a little too edgy, but they didn't pull any punches with Discord's new design for the comics.

This is also my first time drawing little Sparky Sparkeroni. When his design was first revealed, I thought he was a girl which is something I was kind of hoping for, but I think it works either way. And speaking of Sparky, I could easily see a scenario where he has a hard time fitting in with the other children or Pony society in general because of his species. That's where Spike would come in, being the first and so only other dragon he's ever seen. Of course Hitch, being Sparky's adoptive father would protest against him returning to the Dragon Lands, but would eventually learn to let his son choose for himself.

How do you think it would play out?

Either way, ya boi from G4 is back. Albeit not quite the same as he used to be.
