Well-uh...Hi, strangers!
This was the illustration that I meant to post 10 months ago with Twilight Sparkle, Shining Armor and their mom, Twilight Velvet. For context, Twilight Velvet is half Drow Unicorn –the species that I made up and left off talking about before my hiatus – and half unicorn. Again, like always, the immense info dumping and world-building killed me, but I only do this to myself, lol 💀💀 (plus I got a job and college started back up again…soooo). It's not that I don't like world-building and stuff, as I always say, my brain moves faster than my hands so it takes me forever to draw/write out one idea out of the millions of ideas I have for my next-gen/au.

Now, I present to you some simple notes:
☆ Twilight Velvet's Drow Form: The illustration shows Twilight Velvet's “drow” form. Instead of three sets of eyes, Twilight Velvet has two sets in her half-drow form. She also doesn't have six-legs, just four like a normal pony. Her canines are thick and long though
☆ Twilight Velvet's Pony Form: Of course her pony form is “normal” and 100% passable in public. As a mixed breed, her pony form is superior to the disguise of a “pure drow-unicorn”. Pure drow-unicorns have the worst disguise/shape-shifting abilities amongst the Arthropoda Equi, because they mostly reside in the Underworld and mostly have no reason to venture to the Overworld/Equestria unlike other Arthropoda Equi species like Chrysalis's colonies.
☆ I simply wanted to show some little features that Twilight Velvet's children, Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor inherited being part drow. They have purple and white/light gray pigments (in coat or hair), and longer and sharper canines than the average unicorn. The two also inherited the size of the drow. I believe that pure drows would be slightly taller and bigger than the average unicorn pony (but, at least for Twilight Sparkle’s case, her becoming an alicorn gained her a bit of height. But still, as a normal unicorn, I think Twilight would've been taller than most as an adult because of her drow genetics).
☆ All of them being part drow gave them all incredible magical abilities and strength (hence Twilight Sparkle as the literal element of “magic” and Shining Armor's advance “protection" magic).
☆ Now, as far as Twilight Velvet's grandchildren, like Estella, Flurry Heart, Victoria, Aphrodite (idk if I'm keeping her as a next-gen character 💀), Dawn Light and Ursa Minor, I'm sure they inherited little traits from them and gained some particular abilities (especially Flurry Heart and Estella with them being both born alicorns). But all of that will be fleshed out sometime in the future.
☆Twilight Sparkle and Shining weren't ever bothered by Twilight Velvet's appearance growing up. It was normal for them. However, her grandkids had mixed reactions. They weren't scared per se, just curious and awestruck. Like “Grandmama? Why do you have four eyes??? They look freaky, but cool!” ~ filly Flurry Heart probably.
