So, as someone with a propensity to love small chubby characters, I naturally adore Grubber. I am toying with the idea of turning this into a comic where Pine Shadow and Gray Blanket are tasked with rehabilitating him. At least a first attempt.

I wondered what species Grubber might be. He's listed as a hedgehog, but I decided to research mythological creatures based on that animal and discovered something called a Brucha! Its an Irish creature that looks like a porcupine with iron quills. It raids people's orchards, often rolling around until fruit is skewered on its quills. Seems fitting for Grubber since he's constantly eating.
