Princess Cadence, being a trans girl herself, assured Shiny that everything would be fine for him- and surprise surprise, the Sparkle family welcomed their son with hugs and kisses and Night Light's eager babbling that he finally had somepony to go fishing with, despite he and Shining having already been fishing buddies for years

Spear is a little annoyed that his crush on Shining hasn't subsided, especially since his bro is married now and Spear would never want to get in between Shiny and Cadie.....but Cadence senses the latent feelings between her horseband and Spearhead and is like cute, buff, kind of heart, dumb of ass? That is 100% my type c'mon Shiny let's get all up in that and so they all get tangled up in each other for a while

Spearhead gets flustered af whenever Shining and Cadence love up on their boi, in turn he writes them the worst poetry you've ever heard and makes hand-drawn valentines, Shining and Cadence treasure every one
