Pine Celebrating the 4th of July

Happy 4th of July to all of my fellow Americans (or Happy Friday to those who live outside the U.S.)! While Pine Thunderoak lives in Equestria and thus isn't exactly an American, the 4th of July is up there with Nightmare Night and Hearth's Warming Eve as one of his favorite holidays. Not only does he love watching fireworks and think the U.S. flag has a great design, but he also finds the holiday a nice opportunity to spend time with friends and family.

For this year, Pine decided to get together with some of his animal friends and have a picnic out in a beautiful grassy field. They had a really fun time socializing with each other, and the food they packed was delicious. On top of that, they got to see an amazing fireworks show. Pine's skunk and raccoon friends were especially mesmerized by the colorful display, and while his squirrel friend thought it was very pretty as well, he personally found the food to be the best part.
