The Heir to the Night, Luna dotes on him constantly. Especially after his momma Moondancer died from a sudden illness when he was a foal. Luna, instead of putting up her guard and hiding away, like most thought she'd do, she stayed strong for her son. They're very close, and Luna often shares stories about Moondancer and their hobbies. He often speaks with Moondancer in his dreams, which is how he earned his cutiemark. He is also close to his cousin Polar Veil. She also has some family issues, and he's a source of comfort for her.

Other info:
- His wings are abnormally large for his body size, so he can't fly very fast. He glide's more than anything.
- He has mixed wings, Having more of the structure of bat pony wings, but having feathers layered on top.
- He has Luna's crescent shaped horn, though slightly less intense.
- His cousin often makes the comment that his mane and tail look like juice, and teases him for his large wings, calling him "Big-Wing-Boy".
-The straight part of his mane gets flowy and more like the rest of his hair when he uses strong magic, and you can occasionally see constellations in them.
