Malus grew up without a father for a majority of his life. Having never told Mac about the pregnancy in the first place shortly after their break up, Cheerilee elected to raise him on her own which led to a life of struggle. His mother never had a back bone, and like his father, Malus grew up to be a very large stallion with a chip on his shoulder and strong protective instincts. He loves his mother, but only shows it in his protective actions. Otherwise, with something to prove to anyone who will take notice, he's a foul mouthed, rude, angry stallion... at least until his father suddenly showed up one day.
