"I have this headcanon that Queen Chrysalis was once a beautiful fairy unicorn before she was cursed to feed on love and mother her own Changeling brood by King Metamorphosis. The original ruler of the Changelings was a sadistic, evil and deadly monster that preyed on innocent ponies by feeding on their loving emotions and drinking their blood. Metamorphosis’ origin is a mystery but it is believed that he was born a toxic parasite from the stars before he evolved into a blood-thirsty Changeling that takes the form of another loved one and gains power by feeding off their love for them. Queen Chrysalis has little memory of King Metamorphosis but she knew that she used to be beautiful before she was cursed and became evil.
