Description:
1) Stinger's father Fire Streak is a part of the "Washouts", Lightning Dust's knockoff group of the Wonderbolts she created after she was unceremoniously kicked off. Though most of the Wonderbolts stayed with Rainbow Dash, a few followed and joined Lightning Dust. They are a very competent group even though their start was shaky and shady af. They are now an almost even rival to the Wonderbolts. When Stinger was a baby his dad expected him to so join the Washouts, just like his old man. To show Rainbow Dash that his son was the best and could beat her at her own game and to make Lightning Dust proud.
Son and father's relationship is...difficult due to a lot of factors. Didn't help that Fire Streak had high expectations that were very narrow.
Being the son of two famous ponies, Stinger is no stranger to paparazzi and flashing cameras. Even as a baby he was unfazed by it all. His mother Songbird Serenade always seemed to have a group trailing behind her no matter where she went. It definitely helped boost Fire Streak's popularity being married to a very popular performer. Can you tell Stinger's super duper excited to see his father?
2) Whoops! Looks like Stinger didn't join the Washouts after all. Almost like trying to force your kid into one path doesn't always work...He instead chooses to train under Rainbow Dash and becomes a Wonderbolts trainee. The blue pegasus can't help but rub it in Fire Streak's face. She's got a good one and she knows it. Stinger was always a very talented flier and it was no surprise that he was asked to train under RD. RD yoinked that boy up.
Fire Streak is one of the pegasus who fluffs up so much when upset he looks almost comical, like some sort of oversize chicken.
3) dinosaur girl being dinosaur-toad-thing again. stoic boy being stoic but maayyybeee feeling something. pear boy being a pear boy.
hmmmmmmmmmmmhmmmm was in a Stinger mood and I needed to warm up since I haven't drawn in a couple of days. Stinger isn't the easiest to write. He's very emotionless half the time and doesn't react to things a lot. I'm not sure on what to do with his parents but I plan on doing headcanons for them one day. He's considered a rich snobby kid by those who don't know him well, which is part of where Honeydew Raindrop's (son of Applejack and Fluttershy) ire comes from. The only person he really considers a friend is Firefly, daughter of Spike and Thorax....even though she's a bit weird.
