hi everyone I love Cozy Glow!!! As I've mentioned in the past that Cozy lives with Lyra and Bonbon, and over time Cozy becomes a pretty happy if not strange and kinda sad pony when she grows up. I mentioned in that post that Cozy was abused/neglected by a lot of adults in her life and acts out as a response. I have no interest in drawing this abuse or writing about it but know that the scars on her nose are representative of this abuse and as you can see, the scars fade as she grows up! Healing is possible I promise! For this piece I also tried to find songs for the different stages of Cozy's life! If it was 2014 I would link an 8tracks playlist lol

1) Cozy has a much younger sister, Melody. Cozy fucking loves Melody, and loves her dearly. When Melody was first born, it was very emotional for Cozy in a way she didn't really understand. The intense feelings were all tied to her own early childhood, and seeing Melody safe and happy as a newborn helped her feel safe with her new family. A lot of Cozy's early healing was mostly focused on her feeling safe and less about making her behave, but once Melody came around Cozy settled on her own because she wanted her sister to feel safe and happy. Also a song I associate with Cozy at this age is The Lost Child from the Homestuck soundtrack, a somber song about The Handmaid, who was an abused child doing the bidding for a much stronger and more powerful villain.

2) Sister fun!! These two went to the sisterhooves social every year and won every prize!! Because of Cozy's reputation (even if she was in witness protection), Melody was bullied a little when she was in elementary school, with kids picking on her and saying if she lives with Cozy she must be evil too. Their mothers nipped that in the bud and went out of their way to talk to the parents of all the bullies and set the record straight. When melody grows up to be a grunge rocker, its Cozy she has to thank for being her cool kinda goth sister who introduced her to cool music and the grunge aesthetic. A song for phase of Cozy's life is deffo Sisters by Saint Motel, which embodies the fun and easy relationship Cozy has with Melody. 'Lets give it up for sisters, and all the things they do.'

3) Enter, Tangerine Splash. When Cozy finishes high school, she gets a job at Sweet Apple Acres as a fruit stand employee. Its a pretty boring job and Cozy only stays there because the Apples pay their workers quite well (thanks Rarity!). At sweet apple acres, she meets Tangerine Splash, who works in the orchards. The stallion instantly gets a huge crush on her. He enjoys her kinda moody, goth aura compared to all the country girls he knows. Tangerine is kinda awkward and giddy when he talks to her, and usually gives her silly gifts like sweets and flowers, but doesn't really go beyond that r.e flirting. Cozy enjoys the attention, and grows quite fond of Tangerine, but shes equally shy and doesn't really say anything. Gonna be cringe and share a tiktok song but this one suits them!! Bad Habit by Steve Lacy is the song of this phase, with it representing tangerine lamenting (internally) that he wished he knew that cozy liked him sooner. 'I wish I knew you wanted me'

4) Eventually, after lots of 'will-they-wont-they' shenanigans, they start going out. Its nothing serious at first, but they enjoy their dates and spending time together. Tangerine Splash is much more bashful than Cozy, and will turn bright red at pretty much any flirtation or touch from her. Hes got it bad. Despite Cozy's past bullying and its subsequent resolution, ponies still think poorly of her. This is something Cozy Glow is well aware of and can sympathize with. A lot of the couple's early fights stem from Cozy thinking that Tangerine, who is sweet to the core, deserves someone sweet like him and not a reformed supervillain. Tangerine strongly disagrees and insists that he wouldn't be happy with anypony else. TIKTOK SONGS ROUND TWO. This era for cozy has Mary on a Cross by Ghost as its song. And while yes this song is overtly sexual, while cozy is ace, I choose this song for the ride-or-die theme and the genuine love the singer has for his lover, and his devotion to her despite how strange and mysterious she is. 'Your beauty never ever scared me'

5) A first kiss! Of course Cozy Glow initiated. Cozy, as she grows up, tends to feel things very intensely. She cries a lot when shes happy, and when she feels deep affection for those she cares about. Their romance mostly plays out throughout the fall of their first year out of high school, and their first kiss happens when they get stuck in the hayloft during Nightmare Night (shout out Apple Bloom who put the ladder away to keep kids from going up there to canoodle after visiting the corn maze). They start going out as a serious relationship after this and have been dating ever since. They don't plan on getting married or having a family (yet) but they are very much in love. Anyways the song for this part of their life is This kiss by Faith Hill, a corny country song featured in best film of all time, Practical Magic. this is deffo a song that Tangerine Splash likes and shared with Cozy lol.
