Description:
Trixie was heartbroken when Starlight left Ponyville and went to the Crystal Empire then started dating Sunburst, she had held onto some hope that Starlight might come back and ask Trixie to join her on her journey, but when she instead settled down with Sunburst and married him Trixie lost that hope. She decided to pack up her kit and travel back to the city she was born in, Canterlot, where her mother still lived.
It was here that Blueblood noticed her, when she put on a show to make some bits, it was 'classier' than Trixies usual shows, forgoeing her own cart to make use of a public stage, and with a subdued attitude due to her recent heartbreak. Blueblood looked up her geneology and found she came from a long line of 'acceptable' unicorns. Blueblood would start to invite Trixie to social events among other Canterlot elite ponies, and she mostly accepted as a way to distract herself from her sorrows.
Blueblood would subtly court Trixie, and though she wasn't totally unaware of it she simply didn't put any effort in, letting him lead her about galas and garden parties. When he decided to propose Trixie was a little surprised and taken aback, she had assumed that Blueblood would have his fun with her then dump her like last weeks fashion magazine, and she had to take a moment to think it over, ultimately she decided that she had nothing else going for her at the moment and Blueblood provided her a level of power, social power, that she hadn't had before, so she accepted.
The wedding was a grand affair with far too many people Trixie didn't know or really care for in attendance, including Princess Twilight and her friends. She had sent an invitation to Starlight but she didn't see her in attendance and so assumed she hadn't come, she did but stayed away from Trixie, avoiding her own feelings on their abrupt seperation.
Trixie had a lot of trouble falling into the role of Duchess, struggling with political discussions and the jobs she had to perform, she would get better but she would never fully fit into the role and it never brings her joy like her magic shows do, which she still continues but rarely outside of Canterlot, and always to the classy expectations of the elite, so even that wasn't as grand as it used to for Trixie. When children became a point of discussion between her and Blueblood she was only mildly shocked, some part of her always knew they would be a part of marrying a Duke, and so she and Blueblood had two children, a colt and a filly.
Trixie actually loved being a mother, having a little foal to follow her around and get to teach, and she could use the silliest magic tricks she desired to entertain them. Her son took after her a little, he liked her tricks and being able to entertain ponies, so when he asked to take dance classes Trixie was more than happy to take him and cheer him on, Blueblood didn't care so much, it wasn't bad for a colt to dance in Canterlot and he only cared how his wife and children made him look in the eyes of others.
Their daughter, Platinum Parade, was named after Bluebloods distant relative, and reason for his status among society, and she acted the part well, being a prissy pretty princess. She's the type of pony to not want to do things for herself when she can request others do it for her, and would faint if so much as a tiny smudge of dirt caught on one of her fancy dresses. She's certainly her daddies little princess too, he gives her whatever she wants, and she often wants a lot. But Trixie tries to talk to her about living a more simple life, citing when she would travel around Equestria in a small caravan and the joy she got from that part of her life. Platinum doesn't always see her mothers point of view, but she does actually try, shes a good kid deep down.
Trixie and Bluebloods marriage was never one of love, nor was it expected from either party, but they both made the best of it and their life together wasn't bad really, but Trixie never did get over Starlight or forget the true joy her old style of magic tricks gave her, so when Starlight got a divorce and travelled to live in Canterlot Trixe was both nervous and excited to meet her old friend and crush again. Their reunion was awkward at first, then full of tears, and then it was like no time had passed at all between them. They would hang out almost every day, Trixie would share her woes of being a Duchess and dealing with stuffy unfun ponies, and not having fun with her tricks anymore when she got the chance to perform for those stuffy ponies, and Starlight would talk about her life with Sunburst, the good and the bad, and realizing she had a larger hoof in the bad than she had been able to see without the benefit of hindsight.
The two quickly fell in love all over again and this time they didn't hide those feelings, Trixie got a divorce from Blueblood, forcing his hoof by letting him know very clearly that it would be messier if he tried to make her stay rather than let it be amicable. And the two returned to ponyville together, where they applied to teach at Twilights School of Friendship. Twilight accepted them as teachers and they spend most classes teaching together, bouncing off each other and displaying how some ponies can bring out the best in others.
It didn't take long for them to have a baby of their own, whom they named Moonbeam Glow, she's the light of their lives.
