BACKGROUND & PERSONALITY

Being born on a busy farm with a big business, Russet was bound to become a workaholic, just like his parents before him. Though not much into the economic side of things, unlike AJ or Caramel , he does find a keen likeness to the productivity of working on the farm, like plowing and harvesting. It's more of a zen if anything, because it reminds him of the days when he was younger, picking ripe apples by his mama's side. Russ is just a productive stallion in general and is always doing something worth his while. If it's not farming, it's working out, attempting to bake and make cider, or conjuring up a new song to sing for his next tour and loved ones. However, once he does have a break, his tiredness finally catches up to him and he just crashes XP. But he's somewhat of an insomniac, so he finds it hard sleeping when he needs to. So quick 1hr or less naps during the day is somehow enough for him to manage. But because of this, he might seem a bit sluggish and laggard.

Besides all of that, Russ is a pretty nonchalant dude, very reliable and charitable. He enjoys socializing, making friends with all types of folks and happily spreading his talents (music) to put a smile on pony's faces. I mean, after all, his talent is comforting troubled pony's with his voice. He's glad to be a service to the world, however, for an extroverted stallion such as he, he doesn't fancy the praise or attention, he doesn't even like the money. He just loves to do things for others, because that's what ponies ought to do. Do things because you personally think it's fun or beneficial, not because of fame or wealth. Russ puts his priorities first, the ponies and enjoyment. Besides, his on tour performances are free (unless he's fundraising for a donation or minority groups). He mainly gets this charitable and compassionate trait from Rara. I mean, AJ can be giving too… but you either got to bargain with her or trade with her. If not, you really gotta force it out of the stubborn pony XP. But still! Well at least Rara taught him good! >w<

Going back to not liking the praise, he is pretty frightened by crazed fans and does get panic attacks when he's too crowded by them. Not because he doesn't like them, no, he loves and respects the amount of pony's that encourage what he does, but he just doesn't like the ones that disrespect his space. Sure he's a big strong stallion and can easily force his way through a crowd and fend for himself if need be, but he's also very merciful, and doesn't like hurting others just because. And Russet isn't a one town underground urban star either, since he travels, a lot of pony's and creatures know who he is all around Equestria and beyond. His solo songs have topped the charts once before, and it's not like they've come close to topping it again. So he definitely has a wide variety of fans to deal with, everywhere, at all times. So you might catch him wearing a (bad but effective) disguise. And also, like every other stallion in my Next-gen, he has the "natural looks" too, soooo yeah, his fans are definitely wild. (Poor Russet TwT).

Finally, another attribute from being AJ's child, is that he's all about family and tradition, and will do anything for them and abide by his culture as closely as he can. Having this mentality makes him a very caring, compassionate, and brotherly figure, and fancies spreading his brotherly love all over. This is why he's so giving and is fond of helping those in need. Because he is blessed to have the love, resources and talents "to" give. Such a kind soul he is ^-.

RELATIONSHIPS

☆Applejack: His rough and tough yet sweet (when she can be) mama. Russet was influenced by his mother's strength and hard work and strived to be like her. As I said before, he's not much into money as she is, but is into camaraderie, tradition and family. Though Russet is less stubborn and rough than his mom, that doesn't mean he can't be when he wants to (but it's rare when he is. He only is when he's defending somepony else). AJ may be proud of the gentlecolt that Russet grew up to become, but in her eyes, he grew up too fast. She currently feels obligated to treat him like the young stallion he is, but also cherishes the occasional times when Russ would use her like a pillow when taking his quick naps or when she gets the vague opportunity to use "Ma's Big Baby". It's moments like that when she realizes her baby isn't her baby anymore TwT.

☆Count Contralto: The coolest dad that he could ever wish for :3! But for real though, he still remembers the time they shared when he was a foal. And as Russ was inspired by AJ he too was with Rara. Singing and playing the guitar were some of the best things that Rara could ever inspire him to do. Thus, Rara taught him how to do such things as a child and up. Who knew that would be Russet's gift! Not only that, but Rara gave him amazing advice, especially about being yourself first and foremost and listening to your heart. "Do what's right for you always, and don't allow others to tell you otherwise, Superstar". As of late, the two stallions venture off to be stallions XP. They go out and do "manly" things together, like working out, drinking (not irresponsibly) and such. But also, Rara helps Russ with songs and tour preparations. And when Russet is feeling a bit dubious about a trip, Rara comes along to keep him at ease. Best pals they are ^.

☆ Lightning Bolt: Russet's best and endearing childhood friend. Believe it or not, Russ was actually homeschooled. And with RD and AJ being ex lovers and amazing friends, they still saw each other from time to time, especially when their kids were younger. Definitely for RD, she had to keep dropping off her kids at AJ's barn. AJ and Rara wouldn't mind, as RD's children were able to find things to occupy themselves with without causing a ruckus surprisingly. Light was the more outspoken one and it took them to finally get Russ to play with them. Light became Russet's first best and truest friend and will always be. In the future, though the two are quite busy, they keep up with one another fairly frequently. The two also may be developing some form of love 👀👀… hmmm. Will it play out??? (They're just too flustered to admit it and kind of don't wanna ruin their long-term friendship).

☆Butterscotch Baritone/ Agent Lima: (I had help to create this character from my dear friend ichiban-iceychan1517, GO SUPPORT THEM PLEASE!! :3333. This character is Lyra and BonBon's son btw). Butterscotch, like his mother before him, is an agent of (the now official group) F.R.O.W.N (an organization that makes sure that anypony associated with the elements of harmony are protected. This includes their family, in this case AJ's son). Russet doesn't know much about him personally, other than he's supposed to be his bodyguard for his tours. Scotch does help fend away crazed fans from Russet since Russ is too passive to tell them to back off. They do converse with one another, but Butter tries not to keep topics too personal (especially catered to himself). Regardless, Russ thinks he's a mysteriously interesting guy with a fond sense of humor. He knows will take a liking to him too. ))
(If I'm being honest, AJ more than likely sent Scotch to make sure that her huge baby is safe XP. She's still overly protective of him)

EXTRA

☆ He became homeschooled after having bad separation anxiety from his parents from the first year of kindergarten. Because of this, the anxiety distracted him from his work and socializing, and he fell behind. Thus he started homeschooling. AJ hired a tutor, (one of AJ's distant cousins or something) Cameo Apple. She taught him well in the comfort of his home, and he became a very smart stallion ^w. This time also allowed Rara to thoroughly teach him guitar and coach his vocals.

☆Since Rara is Italian and was given the permission to help name Russ, that's why Russ has the Italian name, Aureliano, meaning "golden". AJ may have looked at Rara sideways when he named him, but it grew on her (though she still has difficulty saying the name XP).

☆ Let's just say, Russet has a reason to be scared of his fans...somepony lerks among them…👀👀👀

☆ He would have a smooth and warm southern voice. I don't have an exact idea of a voice actor, but think of Cole Cassidy (Jesse McCree) from Overwatch for now XD (Matthew Mercer).
