I just want to start by clarifying that I don't ship these two at all, I'm just here for the meme. But by golly what a meme it is. Now, I wasn't a Brony back in the day (In fact, I only became one last year), but I was an avid fan of Regular Show. I remember watching it with my cousin for the first time and I was instantly hooked. I would catch a new episode every week when it would air and I even went out of my way to see the tv movie and the series finale. It eventually ended on a high note, and I appreciated having it around while it was around. Then you have MLP, which I would catch a glimpse of every now and then. Even though I wouldn't officially join the fandom until the previous year, some time after the show ended, I do have curious memories of it during the 2010s. I was astonished at how popular it had gotten, to the point where there was even a documentary on Netflix that detailed its popularity and who it was appealing to. Not to mention the fact that I was able to name off a bunch of characters without ever having actually watched an episode is a true testament to the show's success.

But now we come to the MordeTwi meme. I first came across it sometime last year and I thought "Wow, as far as crossover ships go, this one is by far the most peculiar." I mean for me personally, in order for a crossover ship to really work the two franchises have to be at least vaguely similar. But I digress. Despite it's weirdness, it's clearly a well-loved ship/meme despite being nearly a decade old. And to think it all started from a single piece of fanart. So to celebrate both it and the two awesome shows it represents, I decided to toss in my own contribution.... with a twist. I didn't want to repeat what many others have done by simply redrawing it, instead I went in a different direction. Rather than longing to be together, Mordo and Twi have found each other at last. ;)
