When he was born he was a weak, small hatchling with, to everyone’s shock, no wings. Most assumed Rainbow was disappointed about this (something she was very offended about when she found out) but that actually wasn’t the case. As much as Rainbow loves sports and being fast, she also loves books and nerdy stuff! She assumed her small, seemingly weak baby boy would grow into a more bookish, intellectual type. Hey, everypony’s either a hypocrite or a liar right?

To everyone’s surprise that little baby cub-foal grew exponentially bigger, beating Gilda and RD in height, weight and strength by his mid teens.

Cliff is half griffon, but really only inherited the lion half of griffonhood. He has a colorful mane, lion ears, and a snout that’s halfway between a horse and a lion with the nose of a horse. He can also roar!

Although he can’t fly due to his lack of wings, he does have a certain degree of “flight magic” that manifests in his ability to jump extremely high up into the air. He’s also able to walk on clouds as he and his family still live in Rainbow Dash’s big cloud house! For the first few years, either RD or Gilda would have to take him up and down, but as he grew older, he learned how to jump onto low flying clouds and then climb his way up from there, similar to how cats jump up to get to higher places.

When it comes to brute strength, Cliff got the lion’s share, but when it comes to brains, he’s more towards the shallow end of the gene pool. He thinks with his heart more than his head, but that’s not entirely to his disadvantage. His courageous nature earned him a spot on the school's hoofball team. His play style is fearless and unstoppable and it wasn’t long until his coach promoted him to captain. Gilda goes to every game and is escorted out of half of them for foul language.

He's slightly insecure about both his lack of wings and his lack of school smarts, but he hides it well beneath his friendly jock persona.

He wears his varsity jacket a lot when his mane is still growing in because he's embarrassed about how it looks

RD & Gilda's boy! I couldn't think of much to say in his bio, I might come back and update it later if I feel the need. He's really more of a "show not tell" kind of character, hard to describe.
