Started back in June, Thai people demanded that their current government must be under reformation, thus they started their protests to seek democracy and a better future. I was moved by their courage and solidarity, but I wasn’t able to express mu support publicly. Now I have my time and my chance, so I thought I was going to draw a picture to express my support, while still drawing <span class="caps">MLP</span>:FiM related content.

First, I was wondering what best represents their hope, solidarity and firmness, but this wonder went away when I came by the gesture they used in protests. This gesture, with three fingers held together, is just what I needed. I knew the gesture meant three words which starts with letter R, and each word represents each of their demands.

Then, I thought how I can make it a My Little Pony fandom creation. Since I needed to draw a hand, I must find a character I know who has a hand, but I don’t want to draw Equestria Girls related content because it is still too hard for me to draw an actual human. I knew Lyra Heartstrings is always treated as a human expert in the fandom, and she also can use her magic to form a magic hand according to the dedicated fandom, so Lyra Heartstrings became my final choice.

The work began. After working for several days (16 hours in total), my work is finally done.

I’m still an amateur in drawing, so I had to prepare several referencing materials (mostly directly from the show) and quickly train myself to be a little familliar with them. I know the background looks awful, but I did not have more time to complete a better-looking background. Also, I did not have fancy drawing skills, so approaching a satisfying beziel curve was also a struggle. But after all, the work is finally here! I can’t properly express my overflowing excitement, so I wrote my brief story behind this work in the description here.
