My <span class="caps">MLP</span> NextGen featuring Summer Wind (FlutterMac) and Rainfall (SoarinDash)
This scene takes place some time after this series:
The result of Rainfall’s mental breakdown was heart attack. Since Summer Wind was near, he was able to bring her to Ponyvilly hospital in time where Rainfall went through Coronary by-pass surgery. Later, when RD’s daughter began feeling better she was allowed to leave hospital on the condition that somepony will look after her while she was still recovering from heart surgery. So Summer Wind took her to his place for the time.
Here you can see them watching soap opera on Hearts&Hooves day. Though soap opera with Rainfall is not what you may expect it to be…
<span class="caps">RAINFALL</span>: Oh my, she left him for another pony! So what? Good riddance to bad rubbish! Why whining that his life is over, blah-blah-blah. Romantic movies are so funny! (chuckles and takes some popcorn)
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Mind if I take some too?
RAINFALL: Go ahead.
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: (draws his hand and grabs something) Wait, that’s not popcorn… yikes!:blush:
RAINFALL: Well, that was pleasant.:horny:
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Sor-ry; Please remind, why did you t-take off your bra?
RAINFALL: First, it is very hot today. Second, it is “Hearts’&Hooves Day” so I just demonstrate it true meaning! (smirks) You won’t deny that for most those “pairs of sweethearts” this day is actually just another excuse to have sex? All these dates in cafes and restaurants, postcards with red butts – seriously, thye don’t look like “hearts” at all – are nothing but prelude to “bed business” in order to make it look more “romantic”!
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Heh, I see some things never change. Still… tell me, Rainy. You still don’t believe in love?
RAINFALL: (sighs) I… I don’t know. Perhaps… I would like to believe in it. Sure, there can be good relationship between two ponies, but… I can’t sell myself the idea that it is something “special”, something more than simply “friendship with benefits”, that your and my affection to each other is not just… desire to breed. Sometimes I regret having such rational mind… I have always been proud that I live without delusions, but now it makes me wonder if I have lost something important… and I am not just talking about “love”… Ugh, sometimes I feel like my head is about to blow up…
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: At least you began to smile again.
RAINFALL: Only thanks to sedatives.
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: It doesn’t matter. It is wonderful to see you relaxed after all these years. (looks at the clock) It is midday. Time for pills.
RAINFALL: Yeah, yeah, as you wish. (takes one sedative pill) Woo-hoo, time to tranquilize myself.
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Rainy, it is not funny. Please, the doctor said that you need to take this for three months at least.
RAINFALL: Whatever.
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: So, you said you return to work next week?
RAINFALL: Yup. Good, old Rainbow Factory.
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Moving back home soon in that case?
RAINFALL: … well…
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Hmm?
RAINFALL: Perhaps. Though… maybe I will stay here for some time… until I make sure my heart is fine…
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Why blushing?
RAINFALL: I am not… listen, I know what you hinting at… I… I…
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Hey, calm down there, Rainy, just teasing you a little. Don’t get nervous about this and do as you feel like.
RAINFALL: I… thanks.
SUMMER <span class="caps">WIND</span>: Any time, and you may be sure that you will never hear me saying “I love you, Rainfall.“
RAINFALL: Heh, thanks again, smart ass. (chuckles)

A couple of words about design. I made Rainfall’s mane at he back of her head remind of Soarin’s. That’s how it looks when it is not combed/locked by hair clip. I also tried to work on he breast shape and make it look a little more “conical”.
Also in some of my precious pictures you could see that Summer Wind has always been fan of construtcion sets/modelling, as well as fantasy stuff.
The badge Rainfall is holding is and old Summer Wind’s gift to her.
