Description:
It’s been a week since Lustre started school with his friend Gabin. She loved her teacher, Mrs Twist, who took the time to teach them how to become better ponies. At the end of the day, Lustre and Gabin often went home together, although the griffin lived in the opposite direction, he loved spending many hours on the farm working with Berry Apple and playing with the little unicorn. Lustre enjoyed his friend’s company, for he was interested in her and not her mother, as were most other fillies.
Only that day, Twilight came to pick up his daughter after school. The other fillies admired the princess, who caught the little one and flew away with her. Gabin looked at them in the distance and understood that for once he should go home alone. At the farm, Twilight laid Lustre at the door. She did not understand why her mother came to get her and why they did not come straight home. She tried to push the door, but Twilight blocked her paw.
- Be patient ! said his mother, smiling.
Lustre wondered what surprise his parents had planned for him and hoped that it would be a new doll to put in his collection. A few minutes later Applebloom opened the door gently.
- You can come in ! she said.
Lustre ran into the living room, where the whole family was. The closer she got to the room, the more she realized it was a bigger surprise than a doll. She stopped sharply against Applejack, who wore a small colt of a peachy colour, with a brown and yellow mane in his hooves. Lustre looked at him with big green eyes, he looked so tiny and fragile.
- Lustre, I present to you Jonagold, your little brother, explained Twilight, taking his daughter in his wings, now you are a big sister and you will have to act like one !
Applejack put Jonagold down and Lustre approached him. She looked at him and smiled at him, then turned to her parents and asked the big question, which they had not seen coming:
- Where do foals and fillies come from?
The two mares looked at each other and Applejack began to answer :
- Well, she said, you see when a stallion and a mare love each other very much.
She looked at Twilight, begging her to come and help her, because even though she was the element of honesty, she could not tell the truth to her six-year-old filly! Twilight approached Lustre and continued:
You’ll learn this kind of thing when you’re older, she laughed, but the only thing you need to know right now is that love can be as magical as friendship and sometimes help create foals and fillies.
So I was created by magic ? asked the little unicorn.
You could say that ! cried Twilight.
