Prince Mentiad, alicorn of knowledge, exiled himself from Equestria many years ago to reflect on himself and learn ever more about the universe. This resulted in him staying cooped up alone in his ivory tower for some thousand-odd years. Here, he wanders ever deeper into a system of caves, leaving the world outside behind and only himself for guidance.
