so, uh, sketch headcanon

Prince Kairos and Finale Cake met at one of Trixie’s many shows. Trixie always brings her daughter along as a showhand, and the two create some fantastic entertainment. Discord, naturally, attends these shows, mostly to make fun of Trixie. The two continue to hate each other with a passion, and are constantly making fun of one another and pulling stupid pranks (Discord always wins the prank wars, naturally). Discord just so happened to bring Kairos along for another prank war declaration. and he just so happened to run into the famous Finale Cake, daughter of Trixie Lulamoon and Starlight Glimmer.

The two hit it off instantly. Kairos was fascinated by her skill with and usage of fireworks and explosive magic. She was endlessly fond of his compliments, and the two of them became fast friends (soon to be in a relationship).

Discord is proud of his son. Not particularly because he’s in a relationship, but mostly because Kairos dating Finale absolutely disgusts Trixie. The king constantly rubs it in the showpony’s face, and it makes them hate each other all the more. Starlight and Twilight Sparkle are more amused than anything. Watching Trixie and Discord argue constantly makes for good entertainment, and the pair could sit their for hours watching their significant others compete in magic and insult-throwing competitions. Trixie is absolutely livid with her daughter for a while. Finale doesn’t really care. Like her mother, Starlight, she is more amused than angry at the situation. In fact, she even pulls a ‘Discord’ and rubs it in her face sometimes (because Trixie tends to raise her voice and fluff up when she’s upset, and it is the funniest sight in the world).

Kairos and Finale do actually get along quite well. The prince even sometimes helps Finale with her fantastic shows. His mixture of chaos and harmonic magic can create some beautiful, explosive results that really complement her traditional style, and the two can rack up an enormous crowd without really trying. They have a very playful relationship, and are ridiculously fond of one another.
