Still kind of blows my mind that, with an episode that introduces “The main character’s sibling who they care about so much but was totally unmentioned before now!” and “The third extra-special alicorn princess of lovey-doveyness!” at the same time two seasons in, the show really stuck the landing on these two characters.

DM: Princess Celestia, who is officiating the wedding, guides you through where everypony stands and the procession order and whatnot.

Princess Celestia: Perfect, girls. No need to rush! Then, of course, Cadance will enter.

Pinkie Pie: Ooooooh, she’s gonna be here for the big throwdown too?

Twilight Sparkle: Uh-oh.

DM: …I mean, yes, I’d expect the [*bride*] to be present at the wedding rehearsal with the groom, the wedding officiant, and the bridesmaids.

Princess Cadance: I’m sure she just meant that it might complicate the situation.

Twilight Sparkle: Yeahhh… This isn’t exactly our best-case scenario.

Applejack: It’s kinda both a good thing and a bad thing. Good news, it’ll be harder for her to run an’ hide. Bad news, it’ll be harder to convince everyone else.

Rarity: Especially the groom, with his beloved bride right there.

Shining Armor: Huh? Sorry, I was just…

Princess Cadance: Imagining me coming down the aisle for real?

Shining Armor: Heh heh. Yeah.

Fluttershy: ^Awww…!

DM: …The both of you are too damn adorable for this plot.
