A skehtdump of one of my favorite boys...
Johnny as a teenager. Growth spurts were not uncommon and he got his Apple height during this time, though his weight didn’t catch up to him till his late teens. He was always a heart-breaker and very good looking. As a younger colt he had a snarky streak and sometimes let words fly from his pretty little mouth whether or not he hurt feelings. The idea of being some sort of wild stallion appealed to him for a bit and he partook in rodeos and bull wrestling. He got the scar on his right eyebrow due to fighting a particularly big bull that got pissed at him (for flirting with his girl, probably).
Being a flirt, as always.
A big foal, Johnny was a very painful, difficult birth. However, he was a blessing and his mothers were both very happy he came out healthy. Pegasus foals are usually covered in much more fur and down than their unicorn and earth counterparts, and since Johnny has pegasus traits he was a fluffy ball of cute. Earth ponies with pegasus traits are not common and are usually a sign of good luck in many pony cultures. As a baby Johnny always covered his crotch with his tail and sometimes still does as it an adult when he's scared or super excited. In the second baby pic he is very, very happy to see Applejack. This is also when his baby fangs started to grow in but his moms always knew that he had the vampony gene by then. He loved nomming on wood and red apples. The white markings and freckles on him starting to appear more and more as his hair color and eyebrows started appearing too.
Johnny Gold likes doing his shows with stringed instruments for the most part, but sometimes he is asked to attend and bless the audience with only his beautiful voice. Here he is wearing a suit made by Rarity. Applejack kind of hates it (it's so shiny and...sparkly) but she will admit her little stallion looks quite dashing in it.
