“Come see your new little brother, bunnies.”
The tired, softly exhausted voice of Fluttershy reached her children’s ears as they waited by the barn door, unsure on what to do. Granny Apple made them help bring water and wet towels but they were unable to enter. Lark held her brother, Morning Harvest, close as they both looked at each other. The smell of fresh hay wafted from the open wood door and something else...The small draconequus’ nose scrunched up in disgust; it smelled of blood and it made her hackles rise a bit. The smell of another creature was among her moms too. Lark looked at her mother, and Fluttershy smiled and nodded weakly.
Applejack was laying with Fluttershy and had her head rested over her wife’s shoulder - breathing in the tiny bundle of peach fur that was snuggled close to their mother’s belly. The two foals stepped warily towards their moms, Morning in front of Lark. He seemingly seem excited yet fearful as he was careful not to make any noises. The hard packed ground was wet Lark noted. The door behind them closed and she jumped.
The anxiety in her chest started to rise.
Morning Harvest was now sitting in front of the newly born foal, his eyes full of awe and budding love. He was a big brother! It was almost unbelievable. All his suspicions and worry seemed to fly out the window and he grinned at his moms, happiness bubbling within his chest like butterflies in a cage. He raised a hoof to move his long hair from his face and leaned in close to the foal.
They had another boy.
Applejack whispered. “It’s alright, Mornin’. You can get a bit closer but be mindful...he may be big n’ strong but he’s still a newborn.” The earth pony yawned and raised her head - “Lark...you too, hun. Don’t you wanna see your new brother?” The green eyes of their mama stared at the draconequus and Lark lowered her red ones in return. “M-m…n-" Lark’s voice caught in her throat. She cleared it but decided to let her answer die on her tongue. She slowly came over and stopped in front of Applejack’s large hooves and sat down. She could finally get a clear view of the newborn, who’s eyes were opened. He stared at Morning Harvest with eyes that were a golden green, curious about who this strange pony was in front of him. The foal was a peach color, almost like his other siblings. He looked at his brother for a few more seconds and rolled over onto his side to face toward the window facing the east, seemingly to have lost interest as the warm breeze of summer air came through. The foal yawned and closed his eyes again as he started to rest.
The family quietly watched him, each with their own thoughts. Fluttershy exhausted but happy her son came out healthy and strong, Applejack full of pride, Morning full of excitement as he grinned up at him moms, ready to ask all sorts of questions. Their only daughter...on the other hand...was quiet as the ponies welcomed their new member.

Johnny Gold is the youngest foal of Fluttershy and Applejack. With the help of Twilight and Zecora, the girls were able to have their second son together... He was born very healthy and robust. His older brother was super excited to have finally been the bigger brother but Lark was more unsure of the future with Johnny Gold involved. She really wanted a sister and was kind of disappointed she got another brother...not that she doesn't adore the heck out of Morning - another girl just would have been nice. You can say that Lark felt it in her bones that her and her new brother would have sort of a complicated relationship in the future (you can blame her draconequus senses). She felt like with another child between her mother and Applejack that she'd be shoved the side...
Applejack carried Morning Harvest and Fluttershy Johnny Gold. Yes, Applejack cried like crazy when giving birth, and Fluttershy kind of breezed through hers despite her son being super big for a newborn foal.
Lark is the daughter of Fluttershy and Discord and the boys are the sons of Applejack and Fluttershy (obviously).
