TIME!

If there are Taco Tuesdays for Sonata Dusk-chan, then there’s my very own Throwback Thursdays.

Apologies once more for being insensitive to time zones.

One of my previous Throwback Thursday posts was me playing Rise of Nations when I was in High School. Before that, there was Age of Mythology, using the same game engine as Age of Empires, as it is a spin-off to Age of Empires, played on my now dead Windows 98. Reinstalled it on my Windows Vista years later, as well as the expansion pack The Titans, featuring an extra culture/faction and, yes, TITANS!

This game is where it got me more curious to various mythologies, particularly of the three cultures in this game.

My main was the Egyptian culture/faction and my favorite myth unit is the Petsuchos (that Prism Tank-crocodile). Finished it with no cheats.

Don’t know if the G4 MLP writing team took some inspiration from this video game for the various creatures and monsters appearing in the show.

Fun Fact: Atlantis, the homeland of the game’s protagonist Arkantos, is depicted in the campaign map as Mindanao from my home country.
