Rarity’s and Maud’s relationship blossomed from what was once just mutual business. With Maud being a geologist she’d often go on spelunking trips, and other ventures to explore vast cave networks,and other areas were uncommon minerals could be found. During these trips she’d often find beautiful geodes, and rare gems, which she would then sell to Rarity at a price slightly lower then their market value. Rarity could then incorporate these gems into fancy dresses and other attire.

One day Maud mentions how she would be going on an expedition to a well known cave filled with crystals, and Rarity mentions how she’d love to see such a cave, and ends up traveling with Maud to see this wonder. Rarity would, of course, end up packing too much, and somewhere along their trip this would cause Rarity to fall and break her leg. The muscular Maud is thankfully there and is able to carry Rarity out of the cave and all the way back to civilization. While being carried Rarity looks at Maud, feels her strong muscles, and gentle hooves, and quickly develops a STRONG crush on her “knight in shinning armor”. By the time Rarity’s safely in a hospital bed she can’t even look at Maud without getting red faced and flustered. In the weeks following her accident Maud would help look after Rarity, cooking her nutrition filled meals like rock soup, and helping her do menial chores around her house. Eventually Pinkie gets wind of this and notices that Rarity’s “Totally got the hots” for her older sister and decides to play match maker. Eventually after a long, and over complicated plan Rarity would finally confess her feelings to Maud, and in Maud like fashion she’d simply say “I know”, and then say something simple and kinda sweet like “I was waiting for you to confess to me before I made any moves. I needed to be sure you wanted to be with me.” and then before Rarity could say another word would pull her into her arms and give her a gentle smooch. Rarity’s face would be as red as an apple by this point, and although she’s be super flustered, would eventually melt into Maud’s strong arms.

With the help of good old Discord (of course) the two would conceive two children. From left to right we have Geode, a usually highly defensive and attitude prone stallion, who is much smaller then average stallions his age, aged twenty, and has pursued a career in make-up artistry, and Amethyst a very chill person who just LOVES messing with her smaller younger brother, she is twenty-two and works as fashion model, displaying her mothers latest creations in magazines, and stores near you.

These two were conceived by having one of them being turned, by Discords chaos magic, into a stallion. cough cough Maud. I see Rarity’s brain kinda melting at the thought of herself being turned male, so Maud steps in, kinda shrugs and says “I’ll do it”.
