As usual, this was a lot of fun to draw, I hope you like it! :3 The bottom drawing was a sort of test, I tried to edit a bit the original background digitally and I have to say I quite like how velvety-like it came out, as a first attempt it’s not so terrible… right? ç_ç

• Male Applejack and Rainbow Dash. I simply wanted to play a little with their relationship after marriage – some of you have asked whether I’ll give them any kids or not, and, well, I honestly don’t think I will. I don’t like any of the possible methods (artificial insemination, adoption, gender-swapping by magic, potions of sort, whatever) with this couple, so no foals for my beloved OTP. This doesn’t mean I love it any less, on the contrary! <3
  
  Anyway, this was just to show what would happen if some powerful magician (don’t know, Dissy or Twi or someone else) temporarily turned AJ into a stallion so that Dash could get pregnant with her partner. Following this picture’s contest, it all went smoothly, and Rainbow was particularly cheerful and sociable when carrying their first baby. AJ was almost scared by this change of attitude and suffered from anxiety in such a terrible way that her his wife would often get worried. The Pegasus wasn’t able to fly during the last months, but she never really felt much pain. Birth-giving was a completely different story, though.

• Soarin’ and Spitfire at the ending of their relationship.
  
  As I said here, the two didn’t really work out romantically and, even though Soarin’ tried all he could to keep them together, they both realized they weren’t made for each other and mutually chose to break up. They became best friends instead and soon started to talk to one another about their following relationships like nothing had happened. Of the two, Spitfire is secretly the one who’s suffered most after they took different paths, feeling hurt and guilty when Soarin’ revealed to her what had happened to him (the love story gone wrong; again, see here for more explanations) and often wishing they’d come back together sooner or later. Soarin’, after the first hard period, went on with his life, though without forgetting about the mare he cared for most.

• Another Next Generation foal, whoo!!! After the Season 6 premieres, I couldn’t help but ship Starlight Glimmer with Sunburst (though his beard I didn’t like at first). And so this little Unicorn was born :3 Forgive the not-original-at-all name, I had run out of ideas xD If you want, you can suggest for his “second” name, meaning I’ll definitely keep Lucent but might change Starlight if you give me a better alternative.

  Story: Only child of the two great mages Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, this colt is a lively and curious Unicorn who loves the arts of magic and spells of any kind. He’s usually friendly and outgoing, but used to be a real crybaby and sometimes still takes advantage of his young age as a sort of blackmail to get what he wants. He hasn’t got a particular relationship with any of his parents, but he’s a bit closer to his mother and is very interested in knowing more about her past and the great spells she managed to perform; Starlight instead would rather keep such information secret to her son as she fears it’d ruin him.
  
  In his late teens, Light’s going to discover an ancient artifact that will change and establish his destiny forever, like some sort of curse. I’ll explore more this idea very soon, so get ready!

• Flurry Heart as a newborn filly. I hate to admit this, but I love her design and colour scheme, it’s so soft and delicate… The only problem is, I can’t stand the fact that she was born an Alicorn. Well, I’ll just patiently wait until she appears again in Season 6 and hopefully I’ll like her a bit more.

• A further development on Soarin’ and Rainbow Dash’s relationship.
  
  The two Pegasi have been romantically involved for some time, but Rainbow eventually decided to break up with him because she was looking for new experiences. She probably never truly loved him as she loves Applejack, so Soarin’ suffered greatly when she left him. As it had happened with Spitfire, they became best friends after a little time and now they’re siblings in all but blood. Soarin’ thinks particularly highly of Dash’s relationship with Applejack and wished for a long time to find a partner that would make him that happy – this won’t happen until Braeburn comes across him.
  
  When Rainbow Dash told Soarin’ about her decision of proposing to Applejack, the Wonderbolt was infinitely glad and supported the blue Pegasus all the way. In the drawing above, the two are wondering about their different futures and Rainbow is extremely nervous because she’s planned on proposing to her mare that same night after the Grand Galloping Gala.
  
  Even after the marriage, Soarin’ still remained Rainbow’s dearest friend and Applejack soon learnt (though she knew that already) that she didn’t have to worry when the two Pegasi hung out for themselves. When upset, however, the farm mare sometimes has nightmares (yeah, I know this art/story is old as hell, but it’s still valid!) that scare her and wake her up in the middle of the night, only to be reassured by her beloved wife that nothing’s happened.
  
  Really, though, in my AU Dash never cheats on AJ, so don’t you worry and keep loving my OTP <3
