Description:
As the title says, it’s the two best villains in all of Equestria: Grogar and the Storm King!!! And I have a bad feeling they’re plotting something big, something bad, something that would go with the whole big, bad, powerful magic guy(s) thing, don’t they? Fear
Just for the fun of it I decided to bring these two together for one big reason. These big bads are my two top favorite villains of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Love Normally, we all have one favorite villain, but unfortunately for me, the Emperor of All He Saw and the storm-obsessed ruler of the lands south of Equestria are neck and neck. They’re both awesome, and although they contrast each other in personality, stance, and time of tyranny, they are both formidable and their designs are outstanding. I think it would be fair if these two would work together, not to mention enjoy their interaction now and again.
I confess that there are other MLP:FIM villains I enjoy. My first favorite was Discord (before his redemption). After the spirit of chaos became friends with the ponies, Tirek the centaur was my next top villain, all the way until My Little Pony the Movie, where he was knocked down by the Storm King himself. Although I didn’t enjoy the short (understated term actually) screentime he had, he was definitely the best MLP villain for a time. My only issues were that he didn’t wield magic himself, the short screentime again, and he wasn’t the brightest of the bunch. Nonetheless, his personality, design, and power made him one hay of an awesome fiend. But, once season 9 began, Grogar finally appear after a long wait. At first, I thought I wouldn’t develop an interest in the evil ibex, even a lot of fanart of him didn’t really captivate me (some made me worry about the kids if they saw him as some Bronies initially depicted him as). But once he appeared and after seeing him in action, as well as learning about his history, I knew I found my next bigger badder. However, seeing as how he was too serious, and preferred intimidation to temptation, even as a complement to said intimidation, it wasn’t enough for him to bring the Storm King down a peg. Instead, they are both tied. Ironically, the Grogar who appeared in the show was really Discord in disguise. I guess that’s an additional, albeit unconscious reason why he was my favorite. My final favorite MLP villain was my first favorite. However, seeing how both Grogar and the Storm King are opposites and they’re both so great, I think they more or less compliment each other. So for now, here are my top MLP:FIM baddies: the horned tyrant of ancient times and the beastly totalitarian of the south.
I already have an idea of having both Grogar (the real one) and the Storm King working together. Whether this will be in my post-season 9 fanfic, or my Andrew’s Little Ponies fanfic, or something else is currently undecided. Meanwhile, there may be another villain to join them if I decide to update this. However, this villain only appeared once – Mean Twilight Sparkle. However, if you guys would want this to feature only Grogar and the Storm King, then I’ll place Mean Twilight in another pic with them.
Prepare yourselves, everypony and everyBrony. These two are going to storm their way back to power.
UPDATE: The Storm King’s fur color’s changed. It was too bright.
