Guest Author’s Note: “I think anyone who has DM’ed has experienced that moment. The moment where everything goes so far off from what you expected that you just toss your notes aside, mentally or physically. It’s a running gag in my Saturday group that ‘Story is dead and we killed it.’ One of the DMs/Players in said group had to give up on an official Star Wars module game one because it went so far off the rails that he had no more material in that book to pull from. We played more of that game, but it was extremely off the cuff (in a very, very, very good way.)
Story Time: Any stories of the moment you realized (as a player or DM) that things were going to go in an unexpected direction?”
Transcript:
MD: You, uh…gonna be okay?</li>
PP: You only have one chance to destroy something for the first time.
AJ: Really hammin’ it up tonight, ain’t ya.
PP: Thank you for the kind words. My broken spirit may yet recover. But seriously, does this mean we can’t get the crown in time?
MD: Pinkie might be able to get it fixed in time with some hard work and calling in favors. But doing that would mean she’s way too busy to help Twilight. Which could cause problems since Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash have the Charisma of an unenthusiastic brick.
RD: Only according to numbers.
AJ: In that case…Why don’t us bricks stonewall Sunset’s schemin’ and clean this together? Many hands make light work, right?
MD: You want to have a cleaning challenge.<sigh> Fine.

<li>Sound effect of papers being thrown *<br/>
PP: Ooo, throwing papers so we can really visualize the mess. I love it!
