Early Bird had met his Husband at Princess Twilight Sparkle’s School of Friendship. Though they had originally gone to the school to understand friendship and hospitality to bring a brighter mood to their start up diners, they eventually ended up in a surprising yet welcome situation. They had found that they weren’t the only ponies in equestria who’s talent’s struck the subject of breakfast cuisine. As the two became dorm mates in the school, they found themselves talking hours on end about their favorite ingredients, favorite recipes, and even making late night food runs to make said recipes in the castle kitchens.

The two became fast friends and soon found themselves in a relationship. Though, they soon found out a funny fact about one another. Despite their names, they were exactly the opposite in respects to their sleep schedule. While you would assume Night Owl would be, well, a night owl, He was actually an early riser! he loved the smell of dew in the morning and loved watching the sun rise. While Early Bird, on the other hand, hated such things. Well, he didn’t mind the idea itself, but breaking his sleep was simply OUT of the question.

They would get around this though, as on their days off they would wake up at their respective times and find their favorite breakfast meal waiting for them as they got up. The two were stuck at the hip, and when the idea of starting their own diners came up, it was only a matter of time before they would come to the conclusion that they would start one together!

As years went on, Early Bird and Night Owl would indeed start their diner business, finding other ponies to help them with their staffing issue, and their diner was a major success! Ponies and creatures alike would find their way to their little diner. Night Owl opening the diner in the morning, and Early Bird coming in later to give his husband a break. They of course would stick around even when off their shifts, but they found it much more fun to have a bit of small talk between rushes in the diner.
