Guest Author’s Note: “I like to assume Pinkie Pie is drumming Communication Breakdown in the next room, while the rest of the girls wait. Which I obviously can’t show in this comic. Because it would get a copyright strike, you see. Definitely not because trying to make all of the onomatopoeias for drums would be a headache on par with listening to Communication Breakdown at high volumes, and it would look like a goofy mess that no one understands unless I put it in the author’s note.

Oh, I guess on the actual topic of the comic: Subtlety is an art. But as with all art that is intended to be shared, people have to, ya know…see it. You can’t get mad no one came to see your gallery if you hid it in the forest. (Though I do feel for Sunset DM just a bit.)”

MD: Sorry to drag you back here for a private discussion, but are you really sure this is what you want to do? That you taking the spotlight would be good for the group?

Twilight Sparkle: It wasn’t my plan. It was Fluttershy’s. AJ volunteered me, and the others agreed. I got outvoted.

MD: Okay, but like, did you really miss all the hints I was dropping? For an exciting heist type mission? Something with dazzle?

Twilight Sparkle: What? When did you suggest anything like that?

MD: I was trying to be subtle! I told you where you could find the building plans, I showed you where the crown was locked up, and I gave you someone with after-hours school access through Pinkie Pie. Are you telling me that your first long-term villain was a Thieves Guild and you didn’t pick up anything from it?

Twilight Sparkle: I don’t know, do you want to call our mutual friend and ask how well “subtle” plans worked out?
