DM: Are you really going to try and “gotcha” this thing with a paradox that I can just explain away?

Sandbar (AJ): …Well, here’s a valid question: What’s powering it? A magnet has to have a charge, right?

DM: Better. There are six ancient magical artifacts – probably stolen from the School – just within the perimeter of the circle, feeding energy into the orb. You also remember that Neighsay had a magical amulet that was still working. It seems that “artifact magic” will be among the last to go.

Yona (FS): Maybe we could use that if we get it off him?

DM: I sort of agree. This tangent’s gone on long enough.
